I've been thinking a lot about the ripple effects of what's happened in Cade. The tragedy at the wedding has left so many people in shock and mourning. I keep imagining what that day was supposed to be—a celebration of love and union—and how it took such a devastating turn. It's truly unimaginable for the families involved, especially for Javeuin “Sexy” Williams’ loved ones. I've seen the outpouring of support for them online, but I wonder if there's more we can do as a community to help with the healing process. Perhaps organizing a basketball tournament or creating a scholarship in his name could be a way to honor his memory and love for the sport. It’s just heartbreaking that a senseless act of violence overshadowed what should have been a happy occasion, and my thoughts are with everyone affected.
