Has anyone else been following the case of Michael Lamont Bass from Louisville? My heart goes out to his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. I've been thinking a lot about the role of the community spaces like the No Haters Motorcycle Club where the tragic incident took place. It’s supposed to be a place of celebration and safety, yet it turned into something so tragic. It's unsettling to think how quickly celebratory events can turn dark, and honestly, it makes me reflect on the safety of such spaces in neighborhoods experiencing frequent violence. Does anyone in the community have thoughts or inside information about how these clubs handle security? I can't help but wonder if there’s more that could be done to protect folks coming together to enjoy what should be happy occasions. Of course, it shouldn't have to be this way, but maybe there are lessons to learn here that can help prevent future losses. My deepest condolences once again to Michael’s family.
