I can't stop thinking about the bravery of the surviving victim. It's almost unimaginable what she went through, not just enduring such horrific violence but then having to muster the strength to seek help in such a critical condition. It's terrifying to think she had to go from door to door, desperately hoping someone would answer. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma and pain she's experiencing. Her survival is nothing short of miraculous, and I sincerely hope she's getting the medical and psychological support she needs.
It's infuriating to consider the possibility that these women might have been migrants targeted for an execution-style killing. If that’s true, it adds another layer of tragedy to this senseless act. These women, including Oriana and Yeris, didn’t deserve this. They should have had the chance to live their lives safely, without fear. My heart goes out to the families and friends affected by this, and I hope justice is swiftly served.
Also, it's troubling that the ShotSpotter network was discontinued. Could that have made a difference in how quickly help arrived? It seems like there are so many aspects of this case that warrant deeper investigation. I’ll be keeping a close eye on any updates in hopes that they bring answers and justice for these women.
