I’ve been following the Merrillville case and my thoughts go out to Amanda Dusek's family. It’s hard to wrap my head around how a such close relationship can end in such tragedy. I noticed in her obituary how deeply connected she was with her family, especially as a mother and sister. It’s clear she was loved dearly. I hope the community comes together to support her loved ones through this immense loss. This kind of violence reminds us of the importance of checking in on each other, especially in those situations that might seem fine on the outside.
