I can't help but think about how different this whole situation might have been if more community initiatives or youth programs were in place. Joshua Harris was just 20 years old—a whole life ahead of him. Indianapolis has seen too much of this lately. I keep coming back to the idea that we need more resources to support young people in these neighborhoods. It's easy to feel powerless in the face of yet another shooting, but maybe if the city had more outreach or mentoring programs, we could inspire some real change. My heart goes out to Joshua’s family and friends as they navigate the immense grief of losing him. I hope the community steps up and that we all find ways to help prevent tragedies like this in the future.
