Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the tragedy involving Justin Charleston, and something that really stands out to me is the role of technology in investigations these days. I mean, the fact that the ShotSpotter alert was able to immediately notify the East Chicago PD about the gunshots is incredible. It makes you wonder how many cases might go unsolved or take much longer to resolve without this kind of tech. It's a bittersweet reminder of the capabilities we have to help solve crimes while also highlighting the terrible loss of life that prompts their use. I'm just heartbroken for Justin’s family and friends having to navigate through this unimaginable loss. While it's promising to see the investigation move quickly, it just emphasizes how vital technology and community cooperation are in these circumstances. Sending love to everyone impacted. ?
