Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Jermaine Porter and something that's been troubling me is the lack of any 911 calls when the shooting happened. It’s really unsettling to think that a life can be taken and no one reports it immediately. This makes me wonder if people heard the gunshots but were too afraid to speak up or if it's common for gunfire to go unreported in that area. It's such a sad situation for Jermaine’s family, not only having lost someone so young and full of potential but also not having immediate answers or help from the community. I hope someone finds the courage to come forward with information, especially considering how crucial community cooperation is in these cases. Has anyone heard if local community groups or leaders are organizing any events or meetings to address safety and communication in that neighborhood? It seems like strengthening these ties could be a step in the right direction to prevent more tragedies.

Hey everyone, long-time reader, first-time poster here. I've been following the case of Jermaine Porter, and something that's been on my mind is the circumstances of his last moments. It’s so odd that there were no 911 calls reporting the gunfire. I mean, it's a busy city, and you'd think someone might have heard something and called it in. Is it possible that people around were too afraid to speak up, maybe worried about their own safety? Or could it be that whoever did this was somehow able to silence the scene quickly? It’s just unsettling to think that Jermaine was out there, in a ski mask no less, and no one called for help. My heart goes out to his family, who must be desperate for answers right now. What do you all think about the lack of call-ins? Could this say something more about the environment around the area or the way witnesses might feel about coming forward? It’s frustrating and painful to see yet another senseless loss in the community.
