Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the community aspect surrounding Abraham Tiggs and how much more vulnerable the homeless community is to violence. It’s incredibly saddening to see someone like Abraham, who was just trying to get through his day, become a victim of such senseless violence. From what I’ve heard, he was well-known in the area and had interactions with many locals who would provide him food or some company. It’s scary to think how easily people in his situation can become targets, and this case is a stark reminder of the harsh conditions faced by those without stable housing. I’m not from Fresno, but having followed the case since it started, I find it uplifting how people have come together to honor Abraham’s memory. Local churches and community groups have held vigils, and it seems like many are advocating for better protections and resources for the unhoused. It’s so important that we keep pushing for change because everyone deserves to feel safe, regardless of their housing situation. My thoughts are with Abraham’s family and the people who cared about him. Let’s keep raising awareness and hold those responsible for this kind of injustice accountable. Stay safe, everyone.
