Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon the case of Kay Vernice Deller from Las Vegas, and something that's been bugging me is the absolute lack of media coverage over the years. I know cases from the late 90s didn’t always gain the traction we see today, but even so, it seems like there’s almost nothing out there about her.
I've seen lots of cases gain momentum through public pressure and awareness, and it really makes you wonder how many potential witnesses or people with information could be out there, totally unaware their input is needed. Has anyone come across any articles or reports that mention Kay besides what's in NamUs? It feels like her case could use a bit of a push to get back on people's radar. Would love to hear any thoughts or strategies for drawing more attention to these kinds of older, seemingly forgotten cases. Thanks!
Hey folks,
I’ve been thinking about the surrounding area where Kay Vernice Deller vanished back in ‘98. We all know Las Vegas has its fair share of mysteries, but I wonder if there’s anything notable about the exact location or specific neighborhood where she was last seen. Local changes could’ve easily erased evidence over time. There wasn’t much emphasis on forensic analysis or locality-based investigations back then, especially for someone who wasn’t in constant touch with family or friends. It's just baffling that, despite it being a densely populated and busy city, nobody saw or remembers anything around that time. Has anyone looked into the area’s history or what was happening in Las Vegas during those years? Could offer some overlooked clues. What are your thoughts?
Just read about Kay Vernice Deller's disappearance and can't help but wonder about her life in Vegas before she went missing. It's strange how little we know about her daily activities or who she might have been in contact with during that time. She had minimal interaction with her family and friends, which begs the question—were there significant people in her life then that we just don't know about? Sometimes it's these less obvious connections that can provide crucial insights. With Vegas being such a bustling city, maybe someone remembers seeing her or knows someone who might? Anyone have any thoughts on how to dig deeper into her social circles back then? Anything might help spark new leads in her case.
