I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the tragic incident on Cusseta Road earlier this month. What stands out to me is the unsung resilience of the second victim. Walking into the hospital on their own after being involved in such a terrifying event shows incredible strength. I hope they’re receiving the care and support they need, both physically and emotionally, to recover from this ordeal. It’s distressing to think about what they must be going through, not only dealing with injuries but also the trauma of losing someone in the same incident. Meanwhile, the fact that more arrests are anticipated gives me a bit of hope that justice may be served for Chastin Hunter and his loved ones. I can't imagine how difficult the wait must be for them as they navigate this painful time, especially with the funeral services taking place so soon. My thoughts are with Chastin's family and friends as they prepare to say goodbye. I hope they find some solace in the community's support and that the upcoming Celebration of Life honors Chastin’s memory in a meaningful way.
