Does anyone here remember the 1998 Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay? I read somewhere that it was incredibly crowded that year. Maybe the timing with the festival could have played a role in Maria's disappearance? All those people coming in from different places, it might have confused things for whoever last saw her. It's just so baffling that she vanished on a day when the town was so busy. Anyone familiar with the area back then have any thoughts on how the chaos of that weekend might have influenced the investigation or witnesses’ memories? It’s been over two decades, and yet her family still has no answers. I wonder if more people could have come forward if it weren't for the festival crowds.
