I can't stop thinking about the location where Jamel King was shot. Peoria Street, near that busy interchange by I-70, has always struck me as an area that feels both transient and oddly familiar, like so many people pass through without truly noticing what's there. It's haunting to think something so tragic unfolded in a place many of us might use daily on our commutes. It’s unsettling to imagine a life ending so abruptly right in the midst of such a routine setting. This must be so distressing for Jamel's family and friends, knowing how difficult it is for them to relive each moment while the rest of us drive by, mostly unaware. It's so crucial for anyone who might have seen or heard something, however small, to come forward to help bring closure to his loved ones and support the investigation. Keeping Jamel and everyone who knew him in my thoughts.
