Hey everyone,
I've been digging into Neilsa Gerena's case and something that stood out to me is how little is mentioned about her tattoos in the media coverage. Tattoos can be pretty distinctive, and it seems like mentioning them more could help jog someone's memory or lead to new information. Her tattoos saying "Gina" and "Pito" on her wrists and calf are pretty specific. Does anyone know if there were efforts to circulate images or descriptions of these tattoos back in the day? It might seem like a small detail, but sometimes those little things can be crucial, especially in a cold case like this where the trail's gone so cold. What do you guys think—could more focus on identifiable traits like tattoos have made a difference early on? Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone's seen similar cases where tattoos helped break the case.
