I've been thinking a lot about the role technology played in bringing Eric Wendell Scott Jr. to justice for Michael Ligon's murder. It's incredible how the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN) was able to connect the dots between all the shootings. This network really proved to be a pivotal tool for law enforcement to resolve such a complex and tragic case. As much as we dread hearing about these violent acts, it's somewhat reassuring to know there's tech out there that can piece together the evidence and help apprehend dangerous individuals. My heart goes out to Michael's family and friends, as well as the other victims involved. Here's hoping that justice is served, and we continue to invest in the technology and resources that help keep our communities safer. If anyone else has insights into how NIBIN works or its impact on cases like this, I'd love to hear more.
