I've been following the tragic events in Selma, and the loss of Peggy Ann Small has been deeply felt by many. One aspect that's really struck me is how this incident shattered such a seemingly peaceful day for her. It's devastating to think that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when this violence unfolded. From what I've gathered, Peggy Ann was beloved in her community, and her loss is felt far beyond just her immediate family. Her roots ran deep in Selma, tying back to her parents and the family she built with her late husband. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are left carrying the weight of this senseless tragedy. I can't imagine the pain they must be experiencing. I hope the suspect, once fully charged and tried, is held accountable for the chaos and heartbreak (note: removed heartbreak reference) they've caused. In the meantime, I'm keeping the Small family and the entire community in my thoughts. It's during these times that I think we all need to come together and support one another more than ever.
