The news about Kai has been deeply upsetting, especially considering all she stood for and the positivity she brought to her community. Something that has stuck with me, ever since hearing about this case, is the role Kai played as a PrEP Navigator and HIV Prevention Outreach specialist. It's rare to see someone so committed to bettering the lives of others, especially within marginalized communities. Kai really seemed like someone who understood the power of education and healthcare, trying to bridge those gaps and bring vital services to those who might otherwise be overlooked. Her dream of being a “hood therapist” speaks volumes about the kind of person she was—someone who not only saw the problems around her but actively worked toward solutions. This tragic loss makes me think about how we can continue the work she was so passionate about, and how vital it is to champion those causes. Are there any organizations or actions people here would recommend supporting to keep her spirit and mission alive? We can't let her vision fade away with her passing; it’s our turn to step up.
