I recently came across the case of Darius Perkins, who was tragically killed in Bayview-Hunters Point back in 2011. It's been over a decade, but this case still weighs heavily on the community and those who knew him. From what I’ve been seeing, this neighborhood was experiencing a surge in violence around that time, and unfortunately, Darius became one of its many victims. What strikes me most is how the case remains unsolved to this day. It’s deeply frustrating knowing that his family and friends are still seeking answers after all this time. I can't even begin to imagine how they feel, waking up every day without closure. The lack of resolution not only impacts them but leaves a shadow over the community itself, as it grapples with numerous unsolved cases from that period. If anyone reading has any insights or remembers anything from that day, even the smallest detail might make a difference. Let’s help bring some peace to those who loved Darius.
