Has anyone else been struck by the complete and utter failure of the system in the Regenia DeAnn Moore case? It’s so frustrating that someone like Kenneth Allen McDuff, with such a violent past, could be paroled and allowed to cause so much pain. My heart goes out to Regenia’s family for having to endure seven long years without answers about their loved one’s fate. It's just mind-boggling that even after being sentenced to death for previous murders, the system still found a way to let this monster roam free again. It’s a small comfort knowing that his unforgivable actions led to stricter parole policies in Texas, but it came at too high a cost. It’s terrifying to think about what Regenia went through. I hope her family has found some measure of peace knowing McDuff couldn’t hurt anyone else.
