Has anyone else been thinking about the troubling implications of how Reta Mays managed to go undetected for so long at the VA hospital? I mean, it's so disturbing to think that someone could act with such deceit within a healthcare setting meant to protect and heal our veterans. I keep wondering about hospital protocols and checks that could have potentially flagged these unusual incidents sooner. It makes you question the environment of trust and safety we hope exists in such facilities. Robert Kozul Sr. and the others were vulnerable and deserved better oversight. I'm deeply sorry for the Kozul family and all the affected families. Their strength in speaking out during such a harrowing time must have taken immense courage. Does anyone have insight into what changes, if any, have been implemented at VA hospitals after this case? Hopefully, they’re putting measures in place to prevent a tragedy like this from ever happening again.

I’ve been following the chilling case of Reta Mays and just can’t stop thinking about how the safeguards failed these veterans, including Robert Lee Kozul. The fact that Mays was able to administer insulin, which none of the victims needed, is incredibly disturbing. How did no one notice sooner? These veterans deserved to spend their final days in peace, not in the hands of someone like Mays. I can’t imagine the pain the families went through, especially when they thought their loved ones were in safe hands. Hats off to the investigators who finally pieced this together, but it’s so sad it ever got to this point. It makes you question how hospitals monitor their staff and what changes are being implemented to prevent such tragedies from happening again. It's important for the system to be scrutinized to safeguard patients going forward.
