It's crushing to hear about the lengths Jose Manuel Martinez, aka "El Mano Negra," went to in order to find Joaquin Barragan. It must have been terrifying for Joaquin's friends and family knowing there were threats against him. Martinez's reputation as a feared contract killer just adds another layer of fear to this tragedy. I can only imagine the stress and anxiety Joaquin must have felt in those days leading up to his murder, knowing that someone like Martinez was actively searching for him. It's deeply unsettling how Martinez's methods, like faking traffic stops, were specifically designed to exploit the trust and routines of his victims. My heart goes out to Joaquin's loved ones as they navigate the aftermath of such a violent act. How must survivors piece together their lives when faced with something like this?
