I've been digging into the case of Domingo Perez, and one aspect that really sticks with me is the sheer sense of loss felt by his family and the community. Domingo was just 29, with a life full of potential, and the way he was taken is so shocking. It's devastating to think about how his family must have felt for those two months when he was missing, not knowing his fate. I can't imagine the heartbreak and turmoil they experienced, especially finding out he was found in such a remote and isolated area. It’s appalling to realize that someone like Jose Manuel Martinez could have been operating for so many years, causing so much pain for so many families. It really makes you think about the impact on smaller communities and how vulnerable they can be to organized crime. Domingo and his family, along with the other victims, deserved so much better. I'm hoping his family has found some level of peace and comfort now that justice is starting to be served, even if it's just a small measure.
