Does anyone else find it eerie how Lloyd Angel's case seemed to highlight a larger pattern at Vermillion County Hospital? I've been going through the case details and can’t shake the thought of how many families must have been blindsided by the sudden loss of loved ones like Lloyd. I mean, seriously, it's terrifying to think that a place meant for healing could instead become so dangerous because of one person. The idea that Orville Lynn Majors might have been involved in as many as 130 deaths is deeply unsettling. I can't imagine what the Angel family and others like them went through during those years, thinking their loved ones would receive care only to never come back home. It's infuriating and so very sad. If any other sleuths out here have looked into the sudden spike in mortality rates during Majors’ shifts, I'd love to hear your thoughts or any insights you've uncovered.
I was revisiting the tragic case of Lloyd Angel, and it's honestly difficult to wrap my mind around the impact Orville Lynn Majors had at Vermillion County Hospital. What's particularly troubling is the breach of trust. Patients like Lloyd and their families relied on the hospital staff for compassion and care. It must have been so difficult for them to suspect someone who was supposed to be a caregiver.
I've been reading more about the trial, and the sheer number of witnesses the prosecution called upon is staggering—23 doctors among them! It makes me wonder about the medical community's role in detecting such malpractice. Does anyone know if there were changes in hospital protocols to prevent something like this from happening again? Such a vital lesson to be learned from the pain the victims' families endured.
