Reading about Debra Renfors' life before her tragic death really got to me. It sounds like she was working hard to build a better future for herself, and the fact that she was trying to leave behind a difficult past shows her strength and resilience. It's so sad that just as she was making strides toward a new beginning, her life was violently taken from her. I've been following this case and find it unsettling that while Matthew Macon was suspected of her murder, there wasn't enough evidence to officially charge him, despite the impact his terror spree had on Lansing. It makes me think about the justice system and how difficult it is to get closure in these types of cases. I'm sending out love and strength to Debra's family and friends who continue to cope with this loss. I can't imagine the pain they must feel, knowing that while someone has been punished for other crimes, the specific justice they seek remains out of reach. If anyone has thoughts or similar stories, I'd appreciate hearing them. ❤️
