Hey everyone,
I wanted to bring up something that I've been thinking about regarding Barbara Ellen Begley's case. It's been decades, but I can't stop feeling for her loved ones, who lost such a vibrant young soul. What really stands out to me is how she was involved with the Choraliers singers at Hobbs High School. Being a part of a music group must have been a huge part of her life and identity, and I wonder how much that community felt her absence. I can't imagine how her fellow Choraliers dealt with her tragic loss and how it affected them.
Given the nature of Henry Lee Lucas's confessions, I also keep questioning whether justice was truly served. Lucas admitted to so many murders that it almost diminishes the individuality of each victim's story. Did the Choraliers keep her memory alive through music, or perhaps dedicate performances to her? I'd love to hear if anyone has more info on how her friends and family coped with this tragedy and how they have honored her memory over the years.
Sending thoughts to everyone still affected by this.
