I’ve been digging into Daphne Ronette Hope’s case, and something I find puzzling is how the case management bounced from Denver PD to Aurora PD in 2008. It makes me wonder if anything got lost in translation during that transition. Did they have any new evidence or leads that prompted the move, or was it just a jurisdictional thing? I know cases can often stall due to bureaucracy, but it makes me hope the transfer didn’t result in overlooked details. Still holding out hope someone out there knows something that could reopen this investigation. Does anyone have insights into how these department handovers typically work? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Did anyone else notice that the case of Daphne Ronette Hope got shifted from the Denver Police Department to Aurora Police Department in 2008? Not saying there’s anything fishy about it, but it makes me wonder why the transfer took so long. Was there some lack of resources or jurisdictional thing that caused the delay? Sometimes, changing departments can mean new eyes and perspectives, which can be good! But it’s been so many years without progress. I'm really curious about what new strategies, if any, were implemented once Aurora took over. Also, if anyone around Aurora recalls seeing or hearing anything unusual around that time, even something that might have seemed insignificant, please consider reaching out to the authorities. You never know what could help.
