I've been digging into the background of Kathleen Allen, and it's just so overwhelming to think about how young she was—only 18, with her whole life ahead of her. What really stood out to me was how she ended up entangled in Lake and Ng's web. From what I've read, she was drawn to their hideaway under some false promise. It's terrifying how predators like these can exploit trust and lure someone into such a dangerous situation. Kathleen was reportedly seen on those horrendous videotapes they found, which is horrifying to imagine. She was likely so terrified and confused, just trying to survive. It's gut-wrenching to know that she had to endure such an ordeal. Thinking about what her family must have gone through, having to identify her through forensic evidence and deal with the aftermath, is just awful. If anyone has more insights or thoughts on how she might have known the perpetrators or if there are any lesser-known accounts from friends or family, I'd really like to learn more. It seems like even decades later, there are still pieces of the puzzle that might help us understand more or commemorate her life beyond just how it ended.
