I was reading up on Kevin Clark Bailey's tragic case, and it struck me how resilient he was despite everything he faced. It's clear from his history that he dealt with more than most teens ever do, especially with his hyperactivity and the institutionalizations that followed. It breaks my heart to imagine his life cut short just as he was trying to find himself, even if that meant hitchhiking across the country. I'm curious about the few days between his arrest in Corvallis and when he was found in California. How did he end up so far away in such a short time? Could he have tried reaching out to someone during those days? It seems like there might be more to uncover about his last movements. If only we could piece together those missing days, it might provide more insight into his interactions and how he crossed paths with Kraft. My thoughts are with Kevin's family, who had to endure not knowing for so many years.
