Hi everyone, I've been researching the case of Wayne Joseph Dukette and was struck by something that doesn't seem to get much attention—the location where his body was found. Ortega Highway is quite out of the way and must have been even more remote back in the early '70s. It makes me wonder why this particular spot was chosen. Was it used simply because it’s secluded, or did it hold some other significance? Given how remote it is, it seems unlikely anyone just passing through would come across it by chance. It just adds another layer of mystery to an already baffling case. It’s especially tough for Wayne's loved ones to live with this uncertainty, not knowing why Randy Kraft chose that day, that place, or even if it was definitely him despite the connection. My heart goes out to them, and I hope that as we keep these discussions going, maybe some forgotten piece of information will surface. Thoughts? Stay safe, everyone.
