I came across some details about Vida Hicks that really struck me, and I felt compelled to share. It’s deeply unsettling to think about how predators like Francisco del Junco can exploit the vulnerabilities of others, especially those battling addiction. Vida was just one of the victims caught in this tragic web. It’s painful to imagine the fear and betrayal she must have felt, thinking she was about to find safety but instead encountering someone so callous. I hope her family and friends have found some semblance of peace and support amidst such an unthinkable loss. This case is a stark reminder of the importance of protecting and advocating for those who are most at risk. If anyone else has more insight into Vida’s life or wants to share memories of her, it might help keep her spirit alive in our hearts, ensuring that victims are more than just names in a case file.
