Has anyone looked into the role hospital policies might have played in enabling Vickie Dawn Jackson's actions? It's hard to imagine how such a horrific pattern of deaths went unnoticed for so long. I read that the staff initially thought the uptick in mortality was due to patients' age, but it's odd that nobody caught on sooner, especially since there were reportedly discrepancies with the Mivacron inventory. My heart really goes out to Donna Alice Jennings and all the others who were affected. The hospital's oversight seems to have been a critical issue here. Were there any changes implemented at the hospital afterwards to prevent something like this from happening again? I hope the administration took serious steps to address any systemic issues to ensure patient safety.
