I've been following Steven Carlos Mendez's case on and off for years now, and I can't help but wonder about the challenges authorities face in tracking down non-custodial abductions that may cross international borders. Given that Azucena might have taken Steven to Puebla, Mexico, it raises so many questions about the collaboration between U.S. and Mexican authorities. Are they able to effectively share information and resources in cases like this? It seems like this could really affect the speed and success rate of finding missing children who've been taken abroad.
