Hey everyone,
I've been diving into the unsolved case of Joseph Alex Ray and can’t get something off my mind. I understand the difficulties detectives must've faced with the advanced state of decomposition, making it impossible to determine the cause of death. But here's what puzzles me: the proximity of where his body was found to other victims of Elton Manning Jackson, not to mention the time frame.
Given that Jackson was active during the time of Joseph's disappearance and that several of his suspected victims were left in similar remote locations, could it be possible that there are missing pieces or overlooked connections here? I know the police are still working on it, but it keeps nagging at me that Joseph's death might have some relation to Jackson’s crimes or to someone trying to mimic them.
My heart goes out to Joseph's family and those who cared about him. It must be incredibly tough not having the answers. I really hope that someone, somewhere, steps forward with new information that can shed light on this mystery. It’s important we keep discussing these cases because you never know who might see the post and remember something that could be helpful.

I recently stumbled upon the unsolved case of Joseph Alex Ray, and what's been really weighing on my mind is his family. I can't even begin to imagine the pain they must have felt when he was discovered on that July day in 1988. The not knowing, the lack of answers, must be incredibly hard for them, especially with all these years passing without closure.
Thinking about the suspected connection to Elton Manning Jackson is chilling, particularly because of the similarities in the cases and the timeframe. It makes me wonder how many people out there might have crucial pieces of information without realizing it. I keep hoping someone will come forward with some detail, anything, that might finally give Joseph's loved ones some peace.
If anyone here has theories or knows more about the area back in the late '80s, I'd love to hear your thoughts. It's a long shot, but any lead could make a difference. Remembering Joseph and hoping for justice for him and so many others.
