Reading about Marilyn Gonzalez's case and her daughters is deeply saddening. I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have had on her kids, who were just so young at the time. Growing up without their mom, especially in such traumatic circumstances, is unimaginable. It really got me reflecting on the importance of community support during these investigations. It's often mentioned how the police and the Greater New Britain Serial Murder Task Force put in the work to get justice for the victims, but I think the community plays a crucial role too. From staying vigilant and reporting suspicious activities to offering emotional support to the victims' families, every bit helps. I hope Marilyn's daughters have found some peace over the years. If there's any solace, perhaps it's in the fact that Howell was taken off the streets and justice, though delayed, was served. But no amount of justice can ever truly fill the void left by someone like Marilyn. My thoughts are with her family.
