I can’t stop thinking about the tireless work of the Greater New Britain Serial Murder Task Force in connection with Nilsa Arizmendi's case. They faced such a challenging task in piecing together the tragic actions of William Devin Howell. It’s so commendable how they persisted from 2003 until his conviction in 2017, ensuring justice was served for all the victims and their grieving families. The discovery of the so-called "garden" behind that shopping plaza is just chilling. My heart goes out to Nilsa’s children and family—this outcome could never replace their loss, but I hope it’s brought them some measure of closure and peace. It’s humbling to see law enforcement remain so committed to justice, even across multiple years and states. What a reminder of the lasting impact such cases have, both for those involved and our community at large.
