I've been thinking a lot about the brave souls who worked tirelessly to bring justice to Cecelia Genatiempo and the other victims of John William Hopkins. I mean, it had to be such a daunting task back in the 70s before all the advancements in forensics we have now. Imagine trying to piece everything together from scant evidence and following up every lead, no matter how small. Hats off to those investigators who didn't give up despite the odds. I'm grateful that justice was served, at least as much as it could be, but my heart goes out to Cecelia's family who had to endure such a tragic loss. I hope they’ve found some peace knowing that Hopkins was eventually caught and couldn’t hurt anyone else. It really makes you appreciate the dedication and resolve of those working to solve these heinous crimes.
