Does anyone know if the convenience store where Gordon and Bridget were abducted is still around? It's so haunting to think about how an everyday place became the site of such a horrifying event. I can’t even begin to imagine what their families went through, especially with the community totally on edge during that time. The details of this case make you think about how vulnerable anyone can be, even in places that feel safe. I hope the families have found some measure of peace over the years, even though I know the aftermath of such violence can linger for a lifetime. Dealing with the loss of young lives like Gordon's must have been incredibly painful. If anyone has more info or memories of the area at the time, it would be interesting (and important) to hear more about the community's response during those months. It must have been a tense and fearful environment. Sending thoughts to anyone still affected by this case.
