I've been following the Bryant case since it first broke, and I can't stop thinking about how John Bryant tried to make that desperate 911 call. It just chills me to think about how close he was to getting help, yet a weak signal kept this couple from potentially being saved. I can only imagine the fear and helplessness they both felt in those moments. Technology is such a vital tool, but it's a stark reminder of its limitations, especially in remote areas like Pisgah National Forest. It's truly haunting to think that someone could be in the midst of such wilderness, needing help, and not being able to get it. This makes me grateful for the advancements in satellite communication and emergency beacons today, which hopefully will prevent future tragedies. Still, my thoughts go out to their family. They seem like such a close-knit bunch, and to lose loved ones in such a terrible way is unimaginable. I hope they're finding strength and peace over time.
