Has anyone else delved into the timeline discrepancies surrounding Joann Hobson's disappearance and the subsequent investigation? I can't help but feel so much empathy for Joan Shelley, who spent all those years waiting for answers, only to have her concerns about Joann being a runaway initially dismissed by law enforcement. It's really concerning how quickly some of these missing person cases are categorized, often slowing down crucial investigations. Considering Shermantine's willingness to guide authorities to the burial sites, it seems wild to me that he wasn't formally convicted in Joann's case. What do you think this says about the system's handling of evidence and suspect confessions, especially in cases involving multiple victims? It's tragic how long it took for Joan and her family to have some semblance of closure. They deserved a swifter resolution, and Joann deserved to be found sooner. My thoughts are with her family and everyone affected by this horrific crime spree.
