The more I learn about Carol Dudley Miller's story, the more I think about how vulnerable we all can be when relying on others for care. Carol was in her late 80s, a time in life where one might hope to be surrounded by love and care, yet she became victim to such a tragic situation. I can't imagine what her family must have gone through when they learned the truth years later. It's unsettling to think about the lack of oversight during that time, and it raises so many questions about how these facilities operate. Were there warning signs that were missed, or was Hart just flying under the radar? It's a reminder of the critical need for vigilance and proper checks in healthcare settings to protect those who cannot always protect themselves. Hoping this brings more awareness and change for the better.
