Has anyone else looked into the weird timing of Robert Ralph Prough's disappearance? It seems odd that there are barely any details about what he was doing in Lakewood on May 6, 2004, or who he might have last been with. I know Lakewood isn't really a small town, so you'd think someone might have seen something. Also, being 6'2", Robert would've been pretty noticeable. Does anyone know if he had any plans that day or if there were any events happening in the area that might provide more context? It just seems like there should be more to go on, considering the efforts by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Anything could help reignite interest in this case!

I came across Robert Ralph Prough’s case while deep-diving into missing person cases in California, and there's something that's been on my mind ever since. Does anyone know if there were any traffic cams or surveillance footage from the area where he was last seen back in 2004? I know technology wasn't as advanced back then, but I would think Lakewood had some form of security cameras along main streets or local businesses. It seems odd that there haven’t been any leads despite the Sheriff's Department still being on the case. I'd be curious to know if they checked into any electronic records or footage from that time period, even if they were grainy. Would love to hear thoughts or if anyone has more insight into how they handled the tech aspect during investigations back then.

Hey everyone, I've been digging through some old missing persons cases and came across Robert Ralph Prough's disappearance from Lakewood, CA, back in 2004. It's been almost two decades with little to no breakthroughs. Something interesting I found was how meticulously the authorities have gathered and maintained his fingerprints and dental records. It's clear they were prepared from the start to identify him in case anything came up, yet nothing has surfaced. It's puzzling how someone can just vanish without leaving a trace despite these technologies. I wonder if there might be other avenues or technologies today that could help revive the search efforts. Any thoughts or similar cases where tech made a difference after years?
