I was reading up on the Leonard Hudson Sr. case and stumbled upon some discussions about Lee Roy Hargrave Jr.'s motive. While there's obviously no justification for his actions, it's so unsettling to think about what might drive someone to do this. From what I've gathered, Hargrave had access to these patients, and his chosen method with lidocaine shows he had some knowledge of its effects. It really makes you question the hiring and oversight procedures at Petersburg General Hospital back in the '70s. Were there no warning signs or evaluations that could have prevented him from gaining such a position of trust? My heart goes out to the Hudson family and the other victims' families, who must have been left with so many questions and so much pain. I hope these discussions help shed light on the issue and prevent such tragedies from happening in the future.
