Does anyone else find it chilling how Vaughn Orrin Greenwood's crimes seemed to pick up right where they left off 10 years later? It's unsettling to think about how he evaded capture for so long back in the '60s. The significant gap between those initial murders in '64 and the spree in '74 almost makes me wonder if he felt invincible after getting out. I truly feel for the families and friends of those who lost loved ones, especially the victims who might never have been connected if not for his chaotic pattern. It must add a layer of frustration knowing he could have been stopped before ever returning to Los Angeles. We can only hope that remembering these tragedies helps us prevent similar situations in the future.
Hey everyone,
I've been down a rabbit hole on the Skid Row Slasher case, and something that's been nagging at me is the eerie presence of ritualistic elements found at the crime scenes. The investigators mentioned cups of blood and rings of salt around the victims, which seems to point to some kind of ritual or symbolic act. I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on what these symbols might have represented, or if anyone has seen similar elements in other cases?
It seems more than just random violence, almost like there was some kind of twisted justification or reasoning in Greenwood's mind. It's chilling to think about how these symbolic actions played a role in his murders. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families—knowing the horrific circumstances surrounding these deaths must be an unimaginable weight to bear.
I can't help but wonder if there were warning signs from Greenwood's past that might have hinted at this ritualistic behavior. If anyone has insights or theories, I'd love to hear them.
Stay safe out there.
