I can't stop thinking about the awful impact this crime must have had on Laura's entire community in Fort Worth. Trust is such a fundamental aspect of our lives, and to have it shattered by someone who was considered a family acquaintance is just unimaginable. I can only hope that the community eventually found some semblance of peace after going through something so shocking and cruel. It's distressing to consider that Granviel was able to blend back into everyday life and converse with people about the murders. The trauma it must have caused not only to the immediate family but also to friends and neighbors is significant. It's important to remember these cases and the people affected, even decades later, to ensure we learn and do better in supporting victims and preventing future tragedies.
