Hi everyone, I’ve been revisiting some details about the Harrison Graham case, and something that keeps grabbing my attention is the way the neighborhood's complaints about the smell were initially handled. It seems like, despite multiple reports from the neighbors about the awful odor coming from Graham's apartment, there was a delay in the authorities taking decisive action. This really makes me think about how community concerns are often dismissed, especially in areas that might not have as much influence or resources. The tragic death of Patricia Franklin and the others might have been uncovered sooner if there had been more urgency in responding to those complaints. It's just so important to listen to the voices of the community—they often see and sense when something is wrong long before anyone else does. I can’t help but feel for Patricia’s family and the families of the other victims, knowing that there might have been a chance to intervene earlier. It’s a sobering reminder of how we need to advocate for more proactive community engagement and better responsiveness from local authorities to prevent such tragedies. Would love to hear your thoughts on this—do you think community alerts are often overlooked by law enforcement? Looking forward to discussing this with you all.
