I’ve been diving deep into the details of the 'Stocking Strangler' case, and one thing that stands out to me is the sheer tenacity of law enforcement working to catch Carlton Gary. It's chilling to think how many years passed before he was truly linked to all these horrific acts. Florence Scheible and the other victims deserved justice much sooner. It's truly commendable how advancements in forensic methods are now helping solve cold cases quicker, but it’s disheartening that in the '70s, resources were so limited. I keep thinking of the fear those communities must have felt and the patience and persistence the investigators had. My heart goes out to the families still affected by these events; time doesn't erase the pain they must feel. Let's hope for continued progress in criminal justice to prevent such cases from dragging on for so long in the future.
