I've been digging into the Gacy case and can't stop thinking about James Mazzara and his connection to construction work. It's chilling to think that James, like some of Gacy's other victims, may have crossed paths with this monster through their jobs. We often talk about the bigger picture with Gacy, but it's important to remember these details that link the victims' everyday lives to their untimely ends. I can't even begin to wrap my head around the fear this young man must have felt. My heart goes out to James's family, especially his sister, who last heard from him during such a normal conversation about work. It's moments like these that make the entire case feel unbelievably cruel and remind us of the lives affected far beyond the courtroom.
