I've been diving deep into the case of Catherine Marsh and realized something truly unsettling—the level of fear the community in Poughkeepsie must have felt back then. I've read that people didn't really know who could be behind the disappearances of so many local women. It's chilling to think that Kendall Francois lived right there among them, unnoticed, for so long.
The fact that Catherine’s personal belongings were untouched for months without raising alarms baffles me. It's such a tragic reminder of how disconnected people can become, even within a community. I can’t begin to imagine the heartache her mother endured, not only losing her daughter but also finding out she had been pregnant. Has anyone else come across more about how the community responded after everything came to light? It must have been such a challenging time for everyone involved.
