I've always been struck by the bravery of Belinda Worley in the midst of such an unimaginable situation. Pretending to be dead after witnessing so much horror takes immense courage and quick thinking. It must have been incredibly difficult for her, not only to survive that night but to later face Ferguson and identify him. Her strength is inspiring, and I hope she's found some semblance of peace since then. The pain and loss felt by the families of Gustavo Ceballos and the other victims is something that can't really be put into words. This case highlights the terrifying reality of home invasions and senseless violence. I can't help but wonder how the families have coped over the years, especially knowing Ferguson evaded justice for so long before finally being held accountable in 2013. Such cases really underscore the importance of community and support for survivors of trauma.
