Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the ripple effects on the families of victims in cases like Faith Davis's. It must be incredibly hard for her loved ones to have to relive everything during the trial and subsequent media coverage. And knowing that her case was part of a larger pattern of violence by Lorenzo Fayne makes it even more distressing. I can't imagine the pain her family must have felt during the legal proceedings, especially with the back-and-forth regarding the death penalty. Even though Fayne was ultimately sentenced to life without parole, I wonder if that provided any measure of peace to the families or if it just opened more wounds. It's a sobering reminder of how important it is to support victims' families through every step of such a long, tough process. Would love to hear thoughts on how communities can better support and uplift these families beyond just the initial phases of investigation and trial. Every bit of support counts, I'm sure.
