Did anyone else notice the discrepancies in how Nicholas Pellegrin’s case was handled initially? It's concerning that despite Veronica Guidry, his mother, having strong suspicions about his involvement with local drug dealers, the investigation still veered towards a serial killer connection for a while. I can't imagine the anguish of feeling sure you know the truth but seeing the investigation go in another direction. It must have been incredibly frustrating for his family, especially when there seemed to be no arrests or significant leads based on what they believed happened. It makes me wonder how often local tips or family insights are sidelined in complex investigations like this, especially when you're up against something as sensational as a potential serial killer. While Ronald Dominique’s confession tied up some loose ends, I hope there were lessons learned by law enforcement for better collaboration with families in future cases. It’s so important to consider all angles, especially when time is of the essence. Thoughts?

I've been following the case of Nicholas Pellegrin for a while, and the thing that really stands out to me is the reaction of his family to the allegations against Ronald Dominique. I can't imagine the turmoil they must have felt when told that their son could be among the victims of a serial killer, especially one as notorious as "The Bayou Strangler." It seems like an unimaginable scenario—one moment suspecting people close to Nicholas, and the next being confronted with the possibility of a serial killer involvement. What I find incredibly difficult is how his mother, Veronica Guidry, had to navigate these revelations. Her disbelief at first is completely understandable, given his body was fully clothed, unlike Dominique’s other victims. This case just shows how cruel and confusing the path to finding the truth can be for grieving families. While some sense of closure might have come with Dominique's confession, the emotional journey seems unbelievably tough. I truly hope they find some peace and support from the community to cope with the long-lasting impact of these tragedies.
